Bisko Bakehouse is the new face of Mac’s Shortbread Co. and is a nod to our family’s ability to move with the times and live in the moment. 

We began as a small cake shop selling cakes and bakery items. Over time our customers began looking for convenience and wanted ready-to-eat biscuits.

Listening to our customers changing needs, we used a treasured family recipe to craft the first batch of Mac’s Shortbread and sold our biscuits from our little bakery in Camberwell, Victoria.

It wasn’t too long before we were selling our biscuits throughout Australia and had to move to a larger location in Surrey Hills.

Since 1964 we’ve been making the most of every moment and adapting and changing as our customers’ needs and tastes change.

Mac’s Shortbread Co. outgrew our Surrey Hills bakery so our family moved to country Victoria, and soon became one of Australia’s most successful biscuit bakers.

And here we are today – an integral part of the Kerang community, baking from a new eco-friendly state-of-the-art facility, employing 19 locals, and, now making Bisko Bakehouse quality (and totally moreish) range of biscuits for all to enjoy.
